Who Am I?
I am a third-year Ph.D. student in the
computer science department at
Stanford University.
From my name, you might guess that I am a Chinese. You are right. BTW,
my name is pronounced as "Chingsan". I know it is tricky to you, isn't it?
There is no English word starting with "qi".
Where Do I Come From?
- The University of the South at
Sewanee, TN, 8/92-5/95, B.S. in mathematics and computer science.
- Computer Science and Mathematics
Division at the Oak Ridge National
Laboratory, 6/95-8/95, Strassen's algorithm for matrix multiplication
on distributed-memory parallel computers.
- Peking University,
China, 9/90-7/92. class of 1989 in the Physics Department.
- Shijiazhuang Military Academy, Hebei, China. 10/89-7/90, one-year military
training.
- Jiajiang, Sichuan, China, where I was born and raised until college.
What Do I Like?
