I am now a member of the research staff at Xerox PARC. Please see my up-to-date home page there. Before coming to PARC, I was a Ph.D. student of Professor Terry Winograd in the Stanford University Computer Science Department. I participated in the Project on People, Computers, and Design and the Stanford Digital Library Project.

My research at Stanford focused on an interactive, structure-mediated approach to exploring information in a heterogeneous, distributed environment. SenseMaker is a user interface for information exploration that embodies this approach.
