Meeting Notes - 07/25/1996

The followings items were discussed:

1. We are going to do an internal TSIMMIS demo on Friday, August 2 at 10:00am in the DigLib Lab. The purpose is to test each component as well as the interactions among them. We hope to get a good set of templates that will make for a nice demo in the future as well as work out most of the remaining bugs.
2. We need to generate BIBLIO and INSPEC templates for Yannis' simple mediator (using the scenario that Yannis mailed out).
3. Wrappers: We are still working on finishing the SYBASE wrapper. The latest problem has to do with compiling the wrapper internals (parser and matcher ??) on AIX and linking the object files to the SYBASE driver. We hope that by switching to IBM's xlC compiler most of these peripheral problems will go away.
4. Mediators: Ramana's engine needs to be modified so that it can handle all possible subobjects for each matching query. Integration with CSL/SSL is progressing barring any unforseen problems...
